I'm really satisfied with all the takeout food ordered from this cute little family restaurant. Since I always run errands in Queensborough Landing.. I thought why not give this resto a shot. I am happy that I did!
Service was fast and efficient, which I like. Particularly loved the shrimp tempura appie:) Salad rolls were mediocre. The entree meals were on par with all the other Viet restos in town. Overall met my expectation. -

The order Togo portion size is a joke.
I order XL and only gave me L. When I went home discover this was totally pissed me off. Try to rip me off. This is not acceptable.
I suggest all of you don't even bother order XL Togo. It's waste ur money. -

Pho Express Angkor is a Vietnamese/Thai restaurant in Queensborough that I've been to before. It's not often that you find good eats in a outlet mall so I've been meaning to revisit this place for quite some time.
On my first visit, I was really impressed with the Marinated Chicken Satay as the chicken was so very tender. On this revisit, I thought the chicken was okay but not as good as on my initial trip.
For the Beef and Marinated Pork with Spring Roll on Vermicelli Noodles, we added a fried egg because, well, a fried egg makes everything better. I thought that the meat needed to be cut into smaller pieces but this was a solid dish with a very crispy spring roll.
I ordered the Rare Beef, Beef Tripe, Beef Tendon, Spicy Noodle Soup ($8.50 for large). The soup wasn't overly spicy except when one of the chili peppers gets in your mouth.
There were lots of noodles in this dish and I added some hoisin and sriracha sauce. Had to get the noodle pull shot.
I've been finding that I've been craving Bun Bo Hue lately so I came back for a revisit and got the XL serving for $10. This was a seriously massive bowl. The only thing that I didn't like was that the thick rice noodles were quite slippery and difficult to pick up. It would have been better with a thinner rice noodle.
If you find yourself hungry while shopping in Queensborough Landing, this is a pretty good spot. -

Pho has really hit the international cuisine stage! Or at least here at Pho Express Angkor.
Located in the Queensboro Landing - an outside strip/outlet mall in New West, this place does brisk business. The mall has quite a few eating places, I passed by this place every morning to get to work, so I've been to more than a few of the eateries here.
This place was mostly filled when I walked in for a quick PHO and GO. The customers were a mixture of Caucasians, Chinese, Phillipinos, and me (the only Korean in New West! LOL!)
I ordered their rare beef Pho and their fried spring rolls. The rolls were standard ones that I get a most viet places. The pho itself was not a major standout. The broth wasn't hot enough to cook the rare beef and was a little too salty for me.
Overall it hit the spot and off to work I went. Not sure if it would be a repeat place for me but it was close to where I was working for the week.
2.5 Stars.
Cheers. -

I ordered the lemon grass chicken on rice today. Great portion size! I loved it, and definitely will revisit again.
